Summary:

Samantha Erikson is a vampire with one mission: to rule the world. She’s spent decades winning over the world’s most feared vampire, Vince Moretti. Just when everything is going according to plan, he sidetracks her with the assignment of pretending to be a high school student in a small town.

It’s humiliating enough going from stilettos to sneakers, but Samantha must also follow the most boring person alive: the teenage girl who stands between her and the throne. When she has had all she can take, she finds a fun distraction: an attractive football player who isn't scared of vampires. There's one problem. Against her better judgment, she falls in love with him. Now she must decide between the mortal she adores and a place of power in the vampire world. If she tries to have both, she could lose everything.

My Thoughts:

It was the first time I have ever read a book by Stacy Claflin. And I am impressed. I really did like the book, and soon will be reading the original series. I actually love reading first prequels, they give me the idea of the book.

I liked the short story not for it's originality (there are tons of books about vampires) but because it was really easy to read. And reading from a perspective of a 200+ year Vampire is even better. The story gives us what we need to know for our future read. And it gives us something unique, taping into feelings of a vampire who is said to be emotionless. To see that vampires can also love, but i guess the worst is that the ones who are tied to the idea to rule, people or vampires, will always do what is better for that idea/cause.

I liked the story, because it was short but it still gave me everything I needed to know about characters. And that's what is really awesome, to write a short story and to include everything so, that it is not boring, and it really hooks you up, so that you want to read the next ones.

It is free on amazon, so grab your PC, or Kindle, or Phone and buy it. Happy Reading Everyone. Enjoy!
